This book is about a girl named Piddy Sanchez who has a mysterious missing father and a very strict mother. Then one day, shortly after her friend Mitzi moves away a girl comes up to her and tells her "Yaqui Delgado wants to kick your ass." The book is about Piddy finding out about her past, trying to fit in and become someone new, and dealing with bullying at her school. The story was good, but the writing was not very good, so I would not especially recommend Yaqui Delgado Wants to Kick Your Ass. There are a few mature topics, but not too many.
